Team Awa's movie

Here is the movie we made for the Ohaeawai School movie competition. We chose to show how the mountains, rivers and seas were used in the past and today. We were chosen as one of three movies to be shown at the Kaikohekohe Trust film festival. Sam and Charlie-Gurl introduced our movie at the film festival.

Greats and Grands Day

Today we had our annual Greats and Grands Day at Ohaeawai School. This is always a special day and the children love having their Grandparents and whanau visit them at school.

The children showed their grandparents their chromebooks. Some showed them our class blog, how to get on to the blog and how to comment.

Here a few snapshots taken by the children on their chromebooks today. Thanks for coming to see us at Ohaeawai School grandparents!! :-)

A fun day

Today we had a visit from the Duffy Theatre who performed a fun show for us about time travel and the importance of learning to read.

We also had our last visit to the Life Education caravan. We have been learning about how to be a good friend. We learnt about showing empathy to others and being resilient in tough situations.
